Creative work doesn’t always happen inside studios or behind screens.

Sometimes it happens in gyms, schoolyards and workshops — where movement, rhythm and collaboration become tools for expression.

One project that represents this side of my work particularly well is the STREET SKILLZ concept.

The idea behind the STREET SKILLZ is simple:

students spend an intensive project week exploring creative movement disciplines and further skills such as:

• parkour,
• breaking,
• body percussion
• rhythm,
• performance,
• and teamwork.

At the end of the project, the experience culminates either in a live performance or a professionally produced video project.

Combining Music, Movement & Education

My role within the project extends across multiple creative and organizational areas.

Together with Sebastian Gies, I developed the overall concept and structure of the Street Skillz format.

I’m involved in:

• organization,
• workshop execution,
• creative direction,
• and teaching within disciplines such as breaking and body percussion.

In addition, I composed the music used throughout the performances and videos connected to the project.

That connection between movement and sound is a central part of the experience.

The music isn’t simply background audio — it actively shapes rhythm, timing, energy and group dynamics.

Why Body Percussion Is So Powerful

One particularly fascinating aspect of the project is body percussion.

Unlike traditional music education, body percussion removes the barrier between instrument and performer.

The body itself becomes the instrument.

That creates something extremely direct:

• rhythm becomes physical,
• coordination becomes musical,
• and group interaction becomes instantly visible and audible.

Especially in educational environments, this has enormous value.

Students who may not connect through traditional academic structures often discover confidence, focus and expression through rhythm and movement-based collaboration.

It creates participation without requiring perfection.

Projects like STREET SKILLZ show how creative disciplines can become powerful educational tools.

Movement teaches awareness.

Rhythm teaches timing and listening.

Performance teaches confidence.

Collaboration teaches communication.

And when all of those elements are combined through music and creative direction, something much larger happens:

students begin creating together instead of simply consuming.

That process is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

My background in music production and sound design naturally feeds into the structure of these workshops.

Whether in cinematic AI films or educational movement projects, the underlying principle remains very similar:

Sound creates emotional energy.

It controls pacing.

It shapes atmosphere.

It influences focus, movement and emotion.

At STREET SKILLZ, music becomes the invisible framework that connects all disciplines together.

Film, music, rhythm, movement and education are deeply interconnected.

And some of the most meaningful creative experiences happen when people actively participate in the process together.
